Transform your stairs, without the rip-out.
We clad around your existing staircase — covering every stringer and apron, and fitting new newel posts, handrails and baserails in solid oak. You then choose your own spindle design, or a glass balustrade, to finish.

Real staircases. Real homes. No showroom mock-ups.
Every photo on this site is a job we've actually completed — measured, cut and fitted by us, in homes across Wales.
A completely new staircase, without the rebuild.
Cladding reimagines your home's existing staircase structure — treads, risers, spindles and handrail are covered or replaced in your chosen finish, without removing the staircase itself.
That means no structural work, no skip on the drive, and in most cases no building regulations approval needed — just a complete transformation in a matter of days.
Every material tells a different story
The right staircase design changes how an entire hallway feels — not just how the staircase looks.

Glass
Sleek glass balustrades don't just make your staircase feel bigger — they let light travel through the whole stairwell.

Glass Only
We replace the old spindle infill with new panels fitted with glass clamps, keeping your existing handrail and baserail in place. Usually a one-day turnaround, plus a second day to fit the glass once it's been templated.

Before you get in touch
A few things people usually want to know before booking a home visit.
How messy is a staircase cladding job?
Very little — we work with dust sheets throughout, clear away offcuts and packaging as we go, and leave the area clean at the end of each day. Most jobs create no more disruption than a typical DIY project.
Do I need planning permission or building regulations approval?
In most cases, no — cladding an existing staircase doesn't usually require building regulations sign-off, since the underlying structure isn't changing. New-build staircases sometimes do. We'll tell you upfront during your free home visit if your job needs anything extra.
How long does a typical job take?
Most staircase cladding jobs are completed in 2–3 days. New-build staircases and larger understairs storage projects can take longer — you'll get a clear timescale as part of your fixed quote.
Can I choose the finish or colour?
Yes. Oak can be oiled or lacquered, and we offer a range of metal spindle styles and glass options. We'll talk through the choices with you during your free home visit.
What areas do you cover?
We're based in Pontarddulais, near Swansea, and travel across Wales for the right project — including Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and beyond.
What are the payment terms?
Payment terms are confirmed as part of your fixed quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises.
